Modern day song

Angels And Airwaves - The War

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOGGAurZ2nc&feature=related

And the houses
Laid out like targets
With the deafening sound
We watched them all go down
And the families
Now useless bodies
They lay still black and blue
A gift from us to you

Believe, you want this
Believe, I want this too

Why wont you tell me that
It's almost over
Why must this?
Tear my head
Inside out

Sorry I posted like most of the song, but those were my favorite parts. This song talks about how they just want everything to end; war, heartbreak, deaths of innocent people. It talks about the destruction of houses, and bodies of innocent people just laying there. He wants it to all stop. He wants things to be over and stop hurting him from the inside. This song is similar to the ones from the Vietnamese era because theyre both talking about the end of war. How they desperately want it. They want the heartbreak to be over and just want it all to end. People pray that it ends soon and that it goes away. They show their discontent with war and how heartbreaking it is for them.
War is something no one wants and wish it would just never happen. The Vietnamese war witnessed the death of many American soldiers and the heartbreak of their families and friends back home.
“The purpose of all wars...is peace.”
